ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
I associated the signatory campy quality of Rocky Horror Picture Show (RHPS) with modern Bollywood melodramatic musicals due to the fact that they both feed the audience with glamorous visuals. The featured singing and dancing in Bollywood films originated to avoid censorship of sexual intimacy and is also a universal way to communicate with audiences who speak different languages in India.

RHPS is a perfect film to mock the existing stereotypes of gender in our society by applying the exaggerated musical quality which ironically is the key measure to blur the cultural boundaries in India. In this case, the cultural appropriation not only enhances its vulgar humor with even more glamorous visual settings but also structures the core of the satire comedy.
